Punschkrapferln were since my childhood in Vienna my absolute favourites. I remember when I first came to England in the 70s and bought one of these pink "fancy cakes" believing it would be a punschkrapferl (how naive can one get). I still shudder with disappointment! I thought the English (and a lot of great things can be said about them...)could never understand and appreciate the delights of this Austrian creation. Now I learn to the contrary.
